Health Hope Network Hosts Second Annual Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Symposium
March 26, 2008
Health Hope Network is hosting the 2008 Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Symposium on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Four Points by Sheraton, Pittsburgh North in Cranberry.
Unlike most such events, the Stroke Survivor & Caregiver Symposium targets stroke survivors & their families, not medical professionals. The day will provide stroke survivors and their caregivers with information to improve their quality of life through educational opportunities addressing all areas of wellness—physical, emotional, cognitive and social.
Speakers include Ashis Tayal, MD, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Program at Allegheny General Hospital; Lori M. Massaro, RN, MSN, CRNP, Clinical Administrator of the UPMC Stroke Institute; Kathryn L. Garrett, Ph.D., CCC-SLP of ACTS—Alternative Communication Therapies and Strategies, LLC; and Frank Erdeljac, C.O., Associate Market Leader OH/MI/PA of Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics.
Tickets are $10 and include continental breakfast and lunch. Click here to order.
