Health Hope Network launches 2006 FLU B•GONE campaign

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pittsburgh, PA — Health Hope Network, a non-profit organization that organizes and administers influenza and pneumonia vaccines at neighborhood sites and businesses, launched its 2006 FLU B•GONE campaign this month.
"The single best way to prevent the flu is to get an annual flu shot," said Dotti Bechtol, Health Hope Network Executive Director. "It can help to reduce healthcare costs and productivity losses associated with influenza illness."
Sponsoring a flu clinic with Health Hope Network assists the community at large by helping to keep people healthy. Additionally, any profits from the FLU B•GONE campaign are funneled back into local communities via the Health Hope Network sponsored Stroke Survivor Connection (SSC) program. SSC is a free year-round, tri-county support program for stroke survivors and their caregivers.
To schedule a 2006 FLU B•GONE clinic at your organization, call 412-937-8350 to speak with a Health Hope Network FLU B•GONE representative or send an email to info@healthhopenetwork.org. Individuals are encouraged to visit www.healthhopenetwork.org in October 2006 for a schedule of Health Hope Network flu clinics that are open to the public in local communities. Public clinic schedules will also be circulated to local media throughout the Fall.
