Ashis Tayal, MD is an accomplished speaker and professor on the subject of stroke. He is currently Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital. Previous to this he was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at UPMC, where he received the Outstanding Community Attending Award in 2000 and 2001. At Allegheny General, he is the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Program, and a member of the Stroke Steering Committee, Carotid Stent Oversign Committee, and Quality Management Committee for Stroke. Dr. Tayal has published numerous academic papers and articles, and has developed and performed clinical research related to stroke.
