Marlene Hughes is an executive with a progressive leadership history in health and human services. She has a diverse professional background including a registered nursing background which has evolved into a variety of positions for an array of mission-driven organizations committed to serving their communities in the areas of acute care and post-acute healthcare delivery, domestic violence, organ donation and transplantation, community health initiative, public/media relations and public policy development within community-based and metropolitan-based organizations.
Currently, Marlene is the Chief Executive Officer for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sewickley. Community presence and visibility is critical to her current role through public/media relations, board memberships, public speaking engagements, and legislative affairs.
She received her Master of Public Management degree at Carnegie Mellon University's H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management and holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.
