Carol Glock, M.Ed.
Health Hope Network
Carol Glock has been Education and Marketing Director of Health Hope Network since October of 2006. At Health Hope Network she develops, coordinates and implements media relations and corporate partnerships to provide opportunities to educate, demonstrate growth, and develop curricula for the support groups.
Previous to working for Health Hope Network, Ms. Glock worked in various health education positions. From 2005 to 2006, she worked as a Community Health Educator as part of a grant to educate hospital personnel in rural Western Pennsylvania about the risk factors of stroke. From 2003 to 2005, she worked as a Wellness Consultant and later as Assistant Director of Adult Daycare at the Vintage Senior Center in Pittsburgh, where she oversaw the Senior Center's stroke support group, conducted caregiver group meetings, and supervised many aspects of the day-to-day wellness and comfort of the Center's patrons. From 2003 to 2004, she served as Director of Health Education for the Western Pennsylvania Arthritis Foundation. In this position she developed and implemented health education programs for the prevention and treatment of arthritis.
Since 2001, Ms. Glock has been an Adjunct Professor at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington PA. She developed curricula for and teaches two courses, "Sports Nutrition for Health and Fitness" and "Attaining the Mental Edge".
Ms. Glock obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Special Education, and Elementary Education from Carlow University. She also completed a Masters Degree in Health Education from Pennsylvania State University. She continues her education with regular attendance at educational seminars relating to treatment, management, and prevention of stroke. Ms. Glock is a member of the Prevention Initiatives Committee and "Captain: You're the Cure" for the American Heart and the American Stroke Association, American Alliance for Health, National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), the Health and Wellness Committee of Washington and Jefferson College, and The Pennsylvania State University Alumni Association.
