Frederick Egler is chief counsel - Litigation for The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. He had previously spent 23 years in a private civil litigation practice, most recently with the firm of Egler Garrett & Egler. He is a 1978 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as several Federal courts. Mr. Egler is the current president of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. Egler was the editor-in-chief of all the publications of the Allegheny County Bar Association for 13 years. He is a past chair of the ACBA Federal Court Section. He is a past chair of the editorial board of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and a past chair of the civil litigation section of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other continuing legal education organizations. He has been listed in three consecutive editions of the publication, The Best Lawyers in America, in the category of personal injury litigation. Mr. Egler is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is also the past president of the Allegheny (Pittsburgh) Division of the America Heart Association.
